Media Training for Print Media

01/03/13

You don’t have to be born with the skills needed to do an interview with a newspaper or magazine. Media training for print media and a few rules of thumb are all you need.

Giving an interview with a newspaper or magazine is one of the most efficient means of generating exposure and credibility for your message – provided, that is, that you do it properly. Good interview techniques with the print media are all about convincing people, having something interesting to say and, finally, building good personal relationships with the media.

Although not everyone feels completely at home giving an interview, you don’t need any predisposition for doing it well. Applying a handful of basic rules will do. This course will teach you the inner workings of the media along with a number of techniques for turning press interviews into successful communication tools.

What are the potential pitfalls to be avoided?
How can you give an inspired answer to difficult questions?
What are the main do’s and don’ts ?

At the end of the day’s course, one of our assistants with many years of experience as a journalist will do a test interview with you. That way, you can immediately put to use the techniques you learned during the course.
