Bart Inslegers

Bart (37) has been working for Quadrant Communications since 2005 and is mainly active in PR, though customers sometimes also ask him to do interview training or business videos. Before Bart started at Quadrant, he worked as a communications manager for the town of Eeklo and for the press office of the Office of the Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, among other things. He also taught Information Strategies to college students.

Bart himself graduated cum laude in communication management, having determinedly gone for the press and public relations option. He did a work placement at VRT (working on news and current affairs programmes such as Het Journaal and Terzake) and for a time he wrote for the home news section at the newspaper De Morgen. Which is very useful, because this type of background knowledge always comes in handy for communicating with journalists. Just as an insight into customers and their market is always useful for making them interesting to other people. Often this means expressing complex issues in words that are as simple and as rich in imagery as possible – especially in the IT field.

By some whim of fate, Bart is neither a professional tennis player nor a professional journalist, but he is something of an all-rounder – a PR officer. A profession that he has practised with passion for more than a decade and in which he tries to gain more and more experience. The same applies to his role as the husband of Nicole and the dad of his three musketeers Rune, Kjell and Jens. He is partial to the Netherlands (his wife, who is Dutch, is also reading this…) and travelling to Scandinavian countries.
